Product Manager, Backend E-commerce

We are building a modern, scalable e-commerce ecosystem powering six Nordic markets: Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Finland, and Estonia. As part of our transformation, we are moving toward a headless, composable architecture with a decoupled backend, modern frontend stack, and a centralised data and service platform.

We are now looking for a Product Manager for Backend E-commerce to drive the roadmap and delivery of backend services that power our Nordic digital experience.

You will work at the intersection of business, engineering, and architecture, shaping how our platform integrates with ERP, handles complex commerce logic, and scales across multiple countries.

Your mission

As Product Manager for Backend E-commerce, you will be responsible for the Adobe Commerce backend product domain that supports our digital commerce platform — from core commerce capabilities to integrations and shared services.

You will

– Drive the backend product roadmap aligned with Nordic business goals
– Own integrations with ERP, logistics, and external services, end-to-end
– Work closely with engineering leads, architects, and stakeholders across the Nordics
– Translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions
– Prioritise features and improvements based on business impact and technical strategy
– Ensure high platform performance, scalability, and reliability
– Lead the transition toward a composable and service-based architecture

What you will work with

You will shape and evolve a modern commerce ecosystem, spanning platform, integrations, and data. We serve millions of customers across six markets.

– Headless architecture with decoupled frontend and backend services
– Adobe Commerce platform and custom backend services
– SAP integrations and enterprise data flows
– Ship-from-store and omnichannel capabilities
– Multi-market Nordic platform strategy
– Product data (PIM), stock management, and promotion engines

You will collaborate closely with dedicated frontend and backend teams, architects, and external partners to deliver scalable and high-quality platform capabilities across the Nordic e-commerce landscape. Reporting to the Nordic Solution Owner for eCommerce Development based in Stockholm, you will play a key role in driving technical execution, ensuring alignment across markets, and enabling continuous platform evolution. The role includes regular travel across the Nordic countries to support collaboration, alignment, and successful delivery.

Who we think you are

You combine product thinking with strong technical depth. You will not write production code, but you are fluent enough in APIs, system design, and architectural trade-offs to challenge and partner meaningfully with senior engineers.

Required experience
– Senior or lead experience in e-commerce, platform, or digital product roles
– Strong understanding of backend systems, APIs, and system integrations
– Proven track record working with technical teams in agile environments
– Ability to translate technical complexity into clear business value
– Experience owning and prioritising roadmaps across multiple stakeholders
– Fluency in English and Finnish

Nice to have

– Experience with headless or composable commerce architectures
– Background in multi-market or international platform environments
– Understanding of order management, pricing, promotions, and stock logic
– Experience in retail or omnichannel environments
– Experience with cloud infrastructure and scalable service architecture
