DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a full-time DevOps Engineer to join our Care team and take our maintenance services to the next level!

Evermade Care is our support team responsible for the daily operation, maintenance and small-scale development of our clients’ web services and online stores. Care plays an important role in our business, as the team ensures that our customers get the full advantage of our partnership. Care works with clients like Porsche, Valio, Alan Wake, the Finnish Heart Association and the Finnish Film Foundation, just to name a few.

In this role, you work together with our stellar Care team to further develop our clients’ online services. You provide excellent customer service, plan and implement new features and most importantly, help our clients to succeed. As a DevOps Engineer, your daily work will consist of maintaining and developing our server infrastructure as well as communicating with our clients and helping with their requests.

We are not just looking for someone who can code, we’re looking for someone who can bring their own creative flair and problem-solving skills to the table. We hope that you have a passion for trying out new technologies and ideas on how to make our current ones better. The Care team is a tight-knit group that loves to solve challenges and have a good time while doing it. With the guidance of your supervisor, the expertise of your lead developer, and the support of our dedicated service manager and all the other members of the Care team, you’ll have all the backup you need to succeed. Plus, you’ll have access to our developer community of over 30 talented individuals who are always ready to lend you a hand.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and developing our server infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

* Maintaining and developing our server infrastructure, particularly with UpCloud (AWS experience is a bonus!)
* Managing and developing automation processes.
* Tracking and improving our monitoring systems.
* Installing and configuring Cloudflare services.
* Responding to and resolving incidents.
* Troubleshooting and optimizing server performance.
* Handling website migrations and audits.

We are seeking someone with a strong technical background and a passion for DevOps. Our ideal candidate will have:

* Experience in maintaining and developing server infrastructure.
* Proficiency with Bash, Python, Ansible, and WordPress Core.
* The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
* Strong communication skills in English. Knowledge in Finnish is an excellent bonus.
* Experience with container technologies (e.g. Docker).
* Familiarity with CI/CD tools.
* Knowledge of security best practices and tools.
