Senior UX Designer

You will work as part of our development and design team, which consists of about 10 professionals. In collaboration with the rest of the team, you will design and implement solutions to meet the user needs of assortment planning in a significant business area. The S Group has over 900 stores and kilometers of shelf space. In this role, you will have an impact on how effectively we utilize and fill that space with our selection.

As a UX Designer at SOK you will translate user feedback and insight into continuous improvement of digital services by conceptualizing, designing, visualizing and prototyping user interfaces and interactions, participate in the definition of content and navigation structures, and finalizing user interfaces for publication in collaboration with developers. In addition, you will also participate in user research, including evaluations and feedback sessions to ensure the designs meet user needs and expectations.

Key responsibilities

– Design digital tools for assortment planning, focusing on functionality, efficiency, and user delight.
– Ensure that employees’ voice is heard and turned into insights for the development of the assortment planning processes and digital tools
– Work in tight collaboration with business and tech to align strategy, define priorities and translate the requirements into purposeful digital experiences together with the other designers

What we hope from you

– Mid-Senior level experience as a designer of digital services, supported by versatile portfolio
– Strong skills in turning business, user experience objectives and design drivers into a state-of-art UX
– Familiarity with agile ways of working and tools, and ability to apply them in the design work
– Knowledge and experience of design processes, tools, methods and usage of design systems. Strong command of Figma.
– Enjoy working in a complex environment with many stakeholders, dependencies, and business objectives. Previous experience of working within the retail sector and/or value chain is a plus.
– Positive attitude and diplomatic approach
– Experience in agile and multidisciplinary ways of working
– Communicate fluently both in Finnish and English
