Senior Web Developer

We are now looking for a Senior Web Developer to join our team in a full-time permanent position.

In this role, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of Fortune, one of Fennica Gaming’s key platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and be part of a team driving innovation in the global gaming industry.

You will join our Ecosystem & Platform team, a dynamic group responsible for building and managing our partner networks, outsourced game development capabilities, data and analytics services, and ecosystem tools for our B2B customers.

Key Responsibilities

– Develop and maintain one of Fennica Gaming’s core platforms
– Collaborate closely with B2B customers and internal stakeholders
– Guide and coordinate the work of others within your area of responsibility
– Take initiative and drive projects to completion
– Build and maintain tools and capabilities for both internal and external users

Qualifications

– 5+ years of experience in web development
– Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
– Experience with modern web frameworks (e.g. React)
– Experience in database design and management (e.g. MySQL)
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively
– Excellent communication skills in English
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Skills

– Interest in gaming, game technologies, and data-driven game development
– Understanding of the gambling or gaming industry
– Strong project management and team leadership experience
– Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
– Knowledge of data governance and privacy regulations
– Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI)

The position is located at Veikkaus’ headquarters in Pohjois-Haaga, Helsinki. We work flexibly in a hybrid model. To foster collaboration and effective teamwork, we meet at the office three times a week.
