We’re seeking a detail-oriented Web Analyst to explore intricate data and influence our digital environment at Fortum. As an integral member of our team, you’ll delve into the intricate facets of customer behavior, contributing to the success of our digital sales strategy.

About the role

As Web Analyst, you’ll be at the forefront of utilizing the data from diverse sources and platforms, catalyzing enhanced marketing and business analytics. You will report to the E-commerce Director.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

– Setting up tracking mechanisms to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as traffic sources, conversion rates, bounce rates, and user engagement metrics.
– Developing strategies to harness online data for comprehensive marketing and business analytics, fostering informed decision-making.
– Translating data to reports and dashboards and from there into actionable insights, steering our business objectives through informed analysis.
– Cultivating data observations and championing a data-driven approach across the organization.
– Supporting marketing decisions by leveraging predictive analytics, guiding strategic initiatives.
– Crafting detailed reports and analyses, forming the bedrock for hypothesis creation and strategic planning.
– Delivering user-friendly visualizations, such as dashboards, for accessible online performance follow-ups and funnel analytics.
– Analyzing user behavior across digital channels, optimizing engagement and conversion strategies.
– Collaborating closely with the E-commerce team and agencies for tracking specifications and implementation, assuming responsibility for Google Tag Manager (GTM).
– Driving a culture of data-driven and test-driven methodologies, continuously improving working practices.
– Improving data quality and validity to ensure the reliability of our hypotheses, insights, and decisions.

About you

In an ideal candidate we hope to see the following background and skills:

– Relevant higher level educational background.
– Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience, preferably in digital and data-driven marketing or equivalent substance.
– Experience and skills in utilizing data visualization tools like Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI, transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights.
– Proficient in wielding web analytics tools like Google Analytics (including GA 4) or Adobe Analytics, leveraging them to extract valuable insights.
– Familiarity with tag management tools such as Google Tag Manager, enabling streamlined data handling and analysis.
– Experience on server side tracking is a plus.
– Ability to navigate across functions within the business, contributing to the delivery and scaling of best practices through collaborative insights.
– Prior experience in conversion rate optimization and conducting A/B and multivariate tests is considered a significant advantage.
– Great, if you can lift up ability for BigQuery usage for e-com team and experience of server side tracking.
– The organizational language is English, therefore excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are expected.
