Working with us, as a Software Engineer, you will play a part in building a better digital bank, which fulfils a meaningful role in society. We are impacting the lives of our 11 million customers around the world by helping them fulfil their daily banking needs. You will have the possibility to influence how people do digital banking and change Nordea to meet the future.

What you’ll be doing

– Acting as a key member in one of our agile teams
– Coding robust, well-tested, clean solutions using latest tools and technology
– Mainly working with technologies that you master, but stepping in/up on different technology areas to help the team to deliver on the commitments given
– Taking the customer needs and together with business drive the best solution, where your engineering input is very important to finding that solution
– Participating in our technology communities – dev days, innovation sprints and peer code reviews etc.

The position is based in Oulu, Finland.

Your experience and background:

– Strong experience developing responsive frontend web applications using Angular/AngularJS
– Experience in test automation technologies like Cucumber, Cypress, Protractor to enable full regression test of the solutions
– Experience of native mobile (iOS/Android) development is seen as an advantage
– Experience in building RESTful microservices using Java would be an advantage

Besides, we expect that you:

– Understand what agile way of working means when developing software
– Understand why unit testing and automated testing is important
– Know what it takes to build a solution with a high degree of stability and quality
