Senior UI Developer, Procountor

We are looking for a forward-thinking senior UI developer who will shape the future of Procountor as part of a scrum team and together with a collaborative network of professionals. You will participate in planning and implementing new features as well as maintaining the software. In short, You will play a key role in the journey as we continue developing market-leading financial software that empowers businesses across the Nordics.

We run Procountor in both Azure and in private cloud. We have our own public API, which you can explore here: https://dev.procountor.com/. We aim for continuous improvement in everything we do, and we enjoy experimenting with new tools—like AI—that can make our work more efficient. While we operate in hybrid model, we prefer if you are located in the surrounding Helsinki metropolitan area, or in Tampere or Turku, where we also have offices.

Jenkins, Junit, JBehave, Cucumber, Playwright, JMockit, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Azure, Copilot

You don’t need to master them all, but naturally we expect you have experience from most of these. We mention the Java version number because we appreciate that you don’t want to work with ancient libraries and technologies. Neither do we.

What We Are Looking For

We’re looking for a senior UI Developer, who enjoys crafting elegant and responsive user interfaces for business-critical applications. You take pride in collaboration and sharing knowledge with peers— and you keep customer value at the forefront of everything you do.

You are proficient in React and write beautiful code that is easy to read, well-documented, well-tested, and easy to maintain. Continuous development is very important to you. You don’t need to be a back-end guru, but being comfortable in that area too would make you even more interesting from our point of view. Over the years you have worked on business-critical applications in cross-functional product teams, where your past and present colleagues recognize you as a wonderful collaborator. You contribute by providing constructive feedback during code reviews, and do not shy away from questioning decisions made by others. You also take the time to step back and reflect and recognize on your and your team’s achievements.

Key skills and attributes:

– Proficiency with React, TypeScript, and REST APIs (either developing or consuming APIs), and have worked on business-critical applications
– You are comfortable with both front-end and back-end development, and have minimum 5 years of work experience as a software developer (of which min. 3 years with React). Modern Java is your go to backend technology.
– You have knowledge of web application security
– Experience with MUI, design systems and Storybook
– Java coding skills would definitely make you stand out
– Demonstrated experience in mentoring and helping others around you grow
