Senior Software Developer (Neste App)

We are now looking for an experienced– Senior Software Developer to join Neste’s Mobile App & EV Charging team in Espoo. This key role is the first in-house developer, to join the team. The role is crucial in driving innovation as we expand our Neste App and EV charging network across Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

This team is a part of the larger Digitalization team which develops digital tools and platforms such as mobile, online and API services within the Neste Marketing & Services business unit.

Key Responsibilities:

– Lead and shape the technical vision of our platforms, balancing hands-on development with strategic oversight.
– Collaborate with stakeholders, manage outsourced multi-vendor teams, and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
– Identify and resolve issues whether in code, architecture, or external areas, ensuring the scalability and maintainability of our systems.
– Mentor developers, while also being involved in hands-on coding.

Ideal Candidate has:

– Extensive experience in scalable applications, particularly in back-end systems, .NET and cloud environments like Azure, coupled with a solid understanding of databases and APIs.
– Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
– Capability of working holistically across business and technical domains.
– Proficiency in written and spoken English.

We also value:

– Proficiency in Finnish.
– Familiarity with e-commerce and online payments.
– Experience with Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift) projects.
