Senior Software Developer, mobile app

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join Neste’s Mobile App & EV Charging team in Espoo. The role is crucial in driving innovation as we expand our Neste App and EV charging network across Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

This team is a part of the larger Payments and Digital Development team which develops payment solutions, digital tools and platforms such as outdoor payment terminal systems, mobile, online and api services within the Neste Marketing & Services business unit.

Key Responsibilities:
– Hands-on development of Neste Mobile App and EV Charging backend systems.
– Collaborate with Product Manager, external development team members, and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
– Identify and work on resolving issues whether in code, architecture, or external areas, ensuring the scalability and maintainability of our systems.
– Provide operational support for incident investigations and root cause analysis follow-up resolutions.

Ideal Candidate has:
– Experience in scalable applications, particularly in back-end systems, .NET and cloud environments (i.e. Azure, AWS, GCP…), coupled with a solid understanding of databases and APIs.
– Communication, collaboration skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
– Familiarity with Continuous Deployment practices or at least willingness to learn.
– Proficiency in written and spoken English.

We also value:
– Proficiency in Finnish, since you might need to assist Neste station owners with their requests, occasionally.
– Familiarity with payment and EV Charging technologies, or at least willingness to learn.
