Digital Development Manager

As a Digital Development Manager, you will lead our mobile application development team as a Scrum Master ensuring that we will effectively execute on the development of If’s mobile applications to provide the most intuitive and smooth experience for our customers in mobile across the Nordics.

About the role

We are now looking for a Digital Development Manager who has experience working as a Scrum Master or a Team Lead in a digital, preferably mobile, application development team. Your role is to support the team’s daily activities, coach the development team, proactively solve problems, and maintain alignment with other teams and important stakeholders. You continuously improve the ways of working and push us to work according to the best practices and agile principles in this area and beyond.

This role gives you a great opportunity to jump headfirst into If’s digital service development, focusing first on a strategically important area while gradually increasing your scope and impact more widely through different ways, depending on your skillset and strengths.

About the team

You will be part of our mobile development team, with talents primarily located in Finland. The team is a fully equipped cross-functional squad having capabilities in UX design, engineering, QA, analytics and required business knowledge ending up with an end-to-end ability to develop native mobile applications.

Organizational belonging

This position is placed in the Digital Sales & Customer Experience (DS&CX) unit, which is tasked with meeting digital demands with an agile mindset and working methods. The unit brings together CRM, digital sales and services, customer analytics and data management, API product management, and UX and service design under one roof. Value is created in the agile tribes and enablers, in close collaboration with IT, Brand Marketing & Communication, Product & Price as well as other units in If. In this position, you will report to the Head of Digital Services in the Private Business Area.

Who are you?

You are a hands-on problem solver who has experience in leading agile product development teams working with customer-facing digital solutions, preferably mobile applications. You are equipped with solid technical and leadership skills. You love working with smart, ambitious, and dedicated people. You are person who can create a collaborative environment where people thrive as part of a highly effective team.

You also have:

– Proven track record of performing in a similar role (e.g., Team Lead, Business or Tech Lead, Scrum Master or Development Manager) with demonstrable skills of leading agile teams.
– Experience with working in the intersection of business development, design, analytics and IT
– Experience and ability to leverage on agile methodologies in a complex environment
– Proficiency to lead or actively contribute in technical and architectural discussions influencing the application development and customer experience
– Good communication skills and fluency in English.
